The face of Christianity is changing in beautiful ways.
While it’s true that many are walking away from their faith, and from Christianity in general, many others are coming into the fold of God.
I see examples all around me–both in person, and online in Christian social media groups:
individuals from all walks of life, with various backgrounds and religions beliefs, seeking truth and light;
individuals humbly asking for forgiveness, leaving their destructive paths of apathy, sin, and darkness behind, and asking for guidance on how to draw closer to God;
individuals walking away from worldly pleasures, seeking righteous fellowship, and searching for churches to attend.
Those who choose to distance themselves from God may, sadly, miss out on the profound light and testimony that radiates from those who are coming into God’s fold.
While, all too often, as in times of old, it is the poor and the sinners, the humble and the meek who make room in their heart, and in their lives, for God, Jesus Christ, as the Great Shepherd of His sheep (Heb 13:20) desires that each one of us come into His fold.
To those who are coming into the fold of God for the first time, or are returning, His hand is outstretched, waiting to receive you.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
To those who are leaving God’s fold, His hand is outstretched still.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11: 18-30)
Yes, the face of Christianity is changing in beautiful ways. Stick around–you’re not going to want to miss it.
